I am extremely interested in playing in Chess Federation tournaments, but I don't know how to get started, does anyone have a membership? how do you get one and how is rating established? Also, I live in Texas and from what I can find there are few tournaments nearby, I cannot travel much, So are there any major tournaments in Texas?
